Walid Maalouf Foundation- مؤسسة وليد معلوف
There were never financial means at the Wadih Massoud Maalouf household. But there was always faith, will and determination to achieve and be productive individuals. Success followed and destiny put Walid Maalouf where he is today. Although not always having the means himself, Walid Maalouf found means to help others. Through his contacts in the United States he was able to help provide scholarships to several Lebanese students and Syrian students.

When Mr. Maalouf established the Metrolina Phoenician Club in Charlotte, North Carolina one of its objectives was to offer humanitarian help to Lebanese Children. The Board incorporated into its bylaws four Lebanese organizations that work with abused and drug ridden children, deaf and blind children, and orphans. Since 1986, the balance of the annual fundraising dinner goes to help those organizations.

Once upon visiting his hometown in the Shouf district, several members of the townspeople urged him to help build a much-needed hall for the town's church so funerals and weddings could be conducted with respect and dignity. He replied quickly and within three years he was able to raise the necessary funds to build the church hall of Our Lady of Deliverance Melkite Catholic Church and later supported the newly built Druze home.

In November 2006 Walid mobilized the Lebanese American community and led a business delegation of sixty businessmen and women on a trip called the Lebanese American Renaissance Partnership to help lift up the spirit of the Lebanese people. His efforts resulted in cash donations to four non-governmental organizations that work with elderly, family planning, cancer stricken children, and handicapped children.
