Walid Maalouf Foundation priorities shall focus primarily on

1. Education. This entails sponsoring needy and talented students from Kindergarten to high school in the Shouf district to acquire the education and knowledge that can help them to become active and respectful citizens.

2. A Library and an international center. This involves the building of a high-tech library and an international center that can bring information to students’ hometowns and provide them with the resources needed to strengthen their knowledge and connect them to the world. It is one of the ways to enrich the region while keeping students in their own environment. The center would provide a comfortable and well-equipped space to do seminars, workshops and international conferences.

3. Special projects. This includes any project that can bring self-containment to the area regarding environmental preservation and protection. Currently the foundation is supporting the rebuilding of Kfarkatra Melkite church. Through tedious and generous support of the Lebanese American community the church’s hall has been built and furnished.
