Saint Georges Maronite School
Ain Dara - Baabdaa
In collaboration with Mr. Robert Hage, President of Compudata, the Walid Maalouf Foundation donated five computer systems to Saint Georges Maronite School in Ain Dara, Baabdaa District in Mount Lebanon. Father Shukrallah Chahwan, the principal of the school, received the donation on behalf of the school's computer lab. Students are enable to learn all the electronic and word files and surf the internet.With the three pillars as its logo, the Walid Maalouf Foundation is proud of its association with Compudata and glad to help Saint Georges Maronite School in this educational program which is the core objective of the foundation. We wish all parties involved the success they deserve.

Kfarkatra - Shouf
Mr. Walid Maalouf has been the driving force behind the building of the Church Hall and now the sanctuary since 1995. He has gathered a distinguished group of Lebanese Americans, Catholic organizations and individual foundations to support this project in the United States and Europe. The townspeople organized a fundraising event in Rio Lento in 2003 and another was organized by the Kotrawieh living in Atlanta, Georgia in 2005. Today the efforts are directed to start the building of the Church. In Kfarkatra there are only two Melkite-Catholic families: the Maaloufs and the Mounzers.
The WMF will be delighted to provide you with booklets in which you can learn about the church's history, the history of Kfarkatra, and the activities that have taken place in support of this project. This booklet is a great learning tool on how to raise funds for worthy programs that could benefit our small towns in the Shouf. Please do not hesitate to call us for your free copy.
